DAY EIGHTMy favorite parts of the itinerary
A picnic on the grounds of a Sintra palace
Sintra is one of those places where everyone goes, sees the famous castles, and leaves without ever slowing down.
This is the opposite. After exploring Quinta da Regaleira and Biester Palace in the morning, you'll have a private picnic set up in a former palace. So you can get a bit of the royal experience yourself.
A boat ride with oysters and sparkling wine
Aveiro is known is the “Venice of Portugal”, however this region of Portugal is also loved for its fantastic oysters and espumante (sparkling wine).
You’ll take a private solar-powered boat to visit some of the oyster farms and enjoy a tasting of the local products.
A full day in the Douro Valley
If there's one day on this trip that will stay with you, it's probably this one.
You'll have a private driver for the whole day, a guided visit to a vineyard, lunch with wine pairings overlooking the vineyards, and a private boat ride along the Douro river, one of the most beautiful places in Portugal.
